The
"upgrade" to the Rival Schools Evolution disc for the Sony Playstation
featured a much improved date-simulation game, the game was faster,
characters had (slightly) more polygons, two new characters where added
to the character roster (a girl with a camera and a male swimmer), new
mini games, and Pocket Station support.
There had never been an English localized version, but was dubbed "Rival Schools Evolution 2" by english speaking fans.
Unfortunately, the true
sequel "Project Justice" ("Moero! Justice Gakuen" in Japan) had Sakura
missing from the character roster for some reason. Although in the
character creation mode, only available in the Japanese version, you
could pick all her trademark moves from what I had heard, so you could
create a character similar to Sakura Kasugano if you wanted to.

Neo Geo Pocket Color Games (1999) |

In 1999, SNK released, as part of the Capcom-SNK deal, "SNK Vs. Capcom - Card Fighters' Clash". It was a (video) card
game featuring many
characters from both the Capcom and SNK universes, of course including Sakura
Kasugano and even the Resident Evil and Rival
Schools cast.
There where two versions
of the game, complementary between them: the SNK version and the Capcom
version. There also was a Japan-only sequel released in 2000 called:
"SNK Vs. Capcom Card Fighters' Clash 2 Expand Edition". Another new
version of the game was released in 2006 for the Nintendo DS under the
name: "SNK Vs. Capcom: Card Fighters DS".
Also in 1999 a fighting
game had been released: "SNK Vs. Capcom: The Match of the Millennium.",
which was a fighting game also by SNK featuring Super Deformed
(cute-alike) versions of some populair Capcom and SNK characters.
Sakura Kasugano was included as one of the 8 standard playable
characters.

Street Fighter EX 3 (2000) |

I remembered this was one of the first games for the Playstation
2, which had just been released in Japan. There never was an arcade version of
this game, unlike the previous Street Fighter EX games.
The Japanese version of this game was released in the year 2000. At the
moment I can't find any info about releases outside of Japan. The
Japanese version suffered from lots of slowdown at moments, and as far
I can remember, I thought there was an attempt to fix this for the USA
and European versions. Graphically it looked pretty good for the time.
I only played
this game once, and from the actual gameplay I experienced it was quite
good, although still much in the style of the previous Street Fighter
EX games. (To me it doesn't really feel like a genuine Street Fighter
game for some reasons.)
