Welcome to « LitBite »!
Firstly, LitBite is the name of the Reading Club of the English
Department of the Zaanlands Lyceum in Zaandam, The Netherlands.
Its eight members meet every three months to discuss a contemporary
novel and to exchange tips on all things interesting to teachers
of English. On this website you will find these tips and reports
of their discussions.
Secondly, LitBite is a collection of literature lesson plans. They
cover short stories, poems, novels and plays which were introduced
to students of the higher forms of the Zaanlands Lyceum during their
lessons on English literature. On this website you will find a 'library'
of these lesson plans.
Thirdly, LitBite is a website, this website. Hopefully, it can be
of use to other teachers of English, from The Netherlands or abroad.
