In de winter van 1985/86 werden zeevogeltellingen uitgevoerd vanaf het expeditieschip Plancius voor de West-Afrikaanse kust (Madeira, Marokko, Selvagem Grande, Canarische Eilanden en Kaapverdische Eilanden

 

In 1999 werden zeevogels geobserveerd vanaf de kust van Zuid-Afrika en op kolonies in de Kaap Provincie

 

In 2000 werd deelgenomen aan het zg. "Rondje Afrika" op de trajecten Cadiz – Mauritanië – Senegal (met systematische waarnemingen in het opwellingsgebied voor de kust van Mauritanië; NIOZ Responses programma) en vervolgens tussen Walvisbaai en Kaapstad (NIOZ Mare programma)

 

In 2001 werden opnieuw waarnemingen verricht tussen Walvisbaai en Kaapstad, maar nu met een langduriger verblijf ten zuidwesten van de Kaap Provincie (NIOZ Mare programma)

 

In 2003 werden op verzoek van de Australische oliemaatschappij Woodside zeevogeltellingen verricht voor de kust van Mauritanië

In winter 1985/86, seabirds at sea studies were preformed on board the expedition vessel Plancius off West Africa (visiting Madeira, Morocco, Selvangem Grande, Canaries and Cape Verde Islands)

 

In 1999, seabirds were observed from coastal vantage points and at colonies in South Africa's Cape Province

 

Participated in 2000 in expeditions as part of the Round Africa trip of NIOZ, working Cadiz – Mauritania – Senegal (seabird studies in the upwelling zone off Mauritania) and between Walvisbaai and Cape Town

 

Participated in 2001 in expeditions as part of the Round Africa trip of NIOZ, working between Walvisbaai and Cape Town

 

Contracted by Australian oil company Woodside in 2003 to study seabird distribution off Mauritania
