During 1979 and 1980 I was responsible for the design of telecommunication systems for the new industrial port of Yanbu in Saudi Arabia including a VHF Port Radio Station, a VHF/MF/HF Coastal Radio Station, UHF Port Management Communication Systems and a Non-directional LF Radio Beacon. This photo shows me while visiting Yanbu in June 1980 for a design review meeting. |

I've been to warmer places. Too much ice to get closer for a better view of the Niagara Falls. |

Nairobi, the financial and administrative capital province of Kenya, founded in the late 1890s. From 1899 to 1905 it served as a British provincial capital. When Kenya gained its independence in 1963, Nairobi remained the capital city of the new republic, marking a new period of rapid growth which has turned the city into one of Africa's leading regional centres. The cool weather conditions with little or no extremes are envied all over the world. |
