Our
dormitory is situated in the luscious green heart of Holland, where
numerous creeks meet the old river Rhine before it plunges into the
North Sea. Where the people are still hospitable, hardworking and nature-minded.
In
Winter the landscape is wide-open, with many see-thru views. The nearby
wetlife resort makes it an ideal opportunity for ice-skating. You can
start your journey in our backyard and warm up afterwards in front of
the fire-place. Wine, blankets, a warm shoulder to lean on... they are
all here.
In
Spring the curvy dike that follows the creek is an ideal place for watching
the flowering farmgardens along the road, for a bike-ride or rollerskating.
This is our main gardening season, before this jungle of various hardy
geraniums takes over in the front-yard.
In
Summer we spend most of our time in our backyard, gardening, nude-bathing,
socializing with friends or taking a hike in our kayak. The area is
perfect for canuing, skinny dipping, nude-bathing or other activities...
Fall
is always depressing, even here. It's too cold for sun-bathing, days
become shorter every day, it's the busiest time at work, and the weather
can be windy, gray and wet for weeks. It's an ideal time though for
inviting warmhearted friends, have dinner till midnight and... well,
you name it.
