The Orchard Most pictures of the eastern part of our garden (we call the orchard because of an old peartree) were taken in May last year. In Summer this part of the garden is filled with summer blooming perennials. In May the old pear and cherry blossom, while columbine (Aquilegia) and meadow rue (Thalictrum aquilegifolium) florish in the brushwood.
In June the roses take over here. Up in the peartree you can see the blossoms of a giant rambler (Paul's Himalayan Musk). The Dutch word for garden 'tuin' is named after the 'tuun': a fence of stapled old branches.
Rosa woodsii var. fendleri originates from Northern-America and Ontario.
