Going by the name of this band and the promo title, we're in for a bizarre voyage in to dutch black metal. Usually known for the Brutal Death Metal, this is a bright beacon for the dutch black metal scene. Dimensional Psychosis have been around for 6 years (previously under the guise of Goatlord) and finally they have been able to get a release out into the metal world.

From the opening Intro to the final track (I Am the Cosmic Storm Raging (Ultimate Chaos in Infinity)) DP blast out black metal with a great production for a self financed effort. Adding to the chaotic and almost bizarre atmosphere of the band, they add industrial / futuristic samples to the beginning and ends of tracks creating a breather before the chaos begins again.
According to their bio, Grimlord Mysteriis never played any drums until the first band (Goatlord) formed, so with this promo it shows how much you can do in 6 years, also him and Trol play in a raw black metal band called Fluisterwoud and adding the extra touch to DP with the varied black metal approaches. With this extremely promising promo cd, Dimensional Psychosis are destined for great heights.
Musically they are a tight compact unit, working extremely well together and they have the added a new level with the strange techno / gabber (if that's correct terminology) track, I Am the Cosmic Storm Raging (Ultimate Chaos in Infinity), yet the actual music can easily be compared to other great bands like Zyklon, Behemoth, emperor and maybe a slight touch of Dimmu Borgir in the mix of it all. With the full album due out sometime this year, Dimensional Psychosis are going to be a band of the future for black metal, they are a refreshing and welcome change.
