| Description | Shell up to ca. 20 mm high, fragile, transparent to opaque, weakly inflated, left valve slightly more convex than right valve, elongate, inequivalve, nearly equilateral, auricles unequal in size and shape, somewhat denticulate at dorsal margin, colour whitish or creamy. Left valve throughout with reticulate sculpture. Right valve with closely spaced commarginal lirae. Right valve with closely spaced commarginal lirae. Internal ribs generally 10-12, with interstitial rudimentary marginal riblets. Byssal notch and ctenolium lacking. |
