| Description | Shell up to ca. 10 mm high, thin, subcircular, slightly higher than long, left valve convex, somewhat undulated, slightly equivalve and equilateral, anterior auricle larger than posterior, umbonal angle ca. 90-105 degrees, colour whitish or creamy, semi-transparent to opaque. Both valves undulating and complexly sculptured with delicate, regularly spaced, scaly radial riblets and microscopic diverging striae. Anterior auricle of right valve distinctly demarcated from disc flank with 4 weak radial scaly riblets, posterior continuous with disc. Byssal notch relatively deep, byssal fasciole rather broad. Inactive and active (functional) ctenolium present (3 teeth). |
