| Description | Shell up to ca. 14 mm high, fragile, transparent, weakly inflated, left valve slightly more convex than right valve, circular, equivalve, nearly equilateral, auricles unequal in size and shape, colour of left valve creamy or brownish with numerous reddish maculations and small whitish streaks, right valve paler without maculations. Both valves smooth, fine commarginal striae on right valve. Marginal apron very fragile. Internal ribs 6 and 2 auricular ribs. Byssal notch and ctenolium lacking. |
