| Description | Shell up to ca. 13 mm high, fragile, transparent, weakly inflated, circular to somewhat ovate, left valve slightly more convex than right valve, inequivalve, inequilateral, auricles rather small, unequal in size and sculpture, with delicate commarginal lirae. Shell coloured with light orange patches and numerous small white dots. Left valve with weak, irregularly spaced, small radial lirae and very weak, regularly spaced, commarginal growth lines in early ontogeny and minute, closely spaced, commarginal lirae to the ventral margin. Right valve with regularly spaced commarginal lirae. Internal ribs generally 9, with 2 anterior auricular riblets and 1 posterior. Byssal notch small, ctenolium lacking. |
