Let me introduce ourselfs;

Our names are Hilko and Kitty Hein and are from 1986 in love with the Saint Bernard dogs. In my childhood I met a Saint Bernard dog named Droef. He was a great male dog. As a little girl I walked with the owner of the dog, and that was a lovely feeling. Once on my own and living in a suitable home there had to be a Saint Bernard living with us. So we bought ourselfs a longhair female called Rasja. To bad that we didn't had to much luck with her en we had to put her to sleep after 2,5 jears. 

Meanwhile we joined the dutch Saint Bernard  Club and feld ourselfs more and more to be involved to the Saint Bernard. Seeking for a new pup, we came in contact with family Dijker of the Vesta Hoeve. There we bought ourselfs Madame Bear of the Vesta Hoeve. Once we took her to a meeting of the Saint Bernard Club and did get a lot of compliments about our Bear. Proud as we were, it motivated us to go to more meetings and to exhibitions. And yes there was our first cup! This all made us more and more connected to this lovely breed. And again we bought a dog of family Dijker, an other bitch named Praya Poeti van de Vesta Hoeve. However Poeti was never fond of spending a day at the exhibitions, and we did not go with her again. 

Our planning was to once have pups with a so beautiful dog as Madame Bear. She had a litter of 11 pups!! We didn’t keep a puppy of that first litter, as we were not living in a very greet house. After some time we had a lot of regrets that we didn’t keep a pup of that litter. The next year Bear had a litter of only one pup, a male.

This way it all started, meanwhile and many years later we have 1 or 2 litters a year. Hereby good qualities of character and health of our dogs are present at front. It all began as a hobby and is now a way of living. Take into accounts of the dogs we make plans, and day in day out we enjoy of our dogs. Within the Dutch Saint Bernard Club we are active and visit clubmatches, and follow the development in regarding to the breeding with the dogs.
