Meionecroscia Redtenbacher, 1908, p. 572.
Type species. - Meionecroscia biroi Redtenbacher, by monotypy.

Main characteristics. -  Head depressed; elytra and wings not present; femora short and cylindrical in cross-section, fore femora totally straight.

Distribution. - New Guinea.

Represented in New Guinea by:
biroi Redtenbacher, 1908, p. 572 &, pl. 27 fig. 9 [HNHM lost in fire]. 
     (The taxonomic position of this species is doubtful, a specimen 
     quoted in Günther, 1937, p. 95 is probably is a male of Periphetes
     rammei Günther, 1929, p. 661).
