 “DE UITHOF”  at Utrecht

I  believe  this is one of  the most beautifull rock gardens in the Netherlands.

There is also a Site of this rock-garden www.botanischetuinen.uu.nl

In June 1999 we  were in  Gran Paradiso in Italy. We saw there many rockplants, it was marvellous.

You can go there for  wonderfull walks, with different distances.

Most walks start at the end of a cleft. Mostly  there is a parking-place.

The rock garden is situated in the National Park “Gran Paradiso” You drive from the village Aosta in the direction of Cogne.

Another nice rock garden in the Aosta  in the north of Italy, is in

 Courmayeur.

You go with the cableway to the Mont Blanc, but  you have to go out

 on the first stopping place.

The cableway goes  to  Chamonix in France

The rockgarden in not so large, but the view of the surroundings is very nice..

In Geneva is  a rockgarden too. When  we were there in 1994, the entrance was free.

Many people where sitting on the grass, naer the most beautiful orchids and other beautiful plants.

There was also a nice glass-house.

And not so far from this garden, there is the Red  Cross Museum, It is a little walk to this museum and it is worth the pain.

Berlin  has a nice rockgarden. It is situated in the “ Botanische Garten”

There is a nice glass-house with carnivorous plants.

The S-bahn is in the neighbourhoud of te rock garden.

In Pescasseroli there is a museum and a zoo, with the animals who lives in d’Abruzzo, such as  the brown bear, the linx and wolfs.

There is also a little rock garden with the plants from the mountains of the  National Park, the rockgarden was a little disappointed.
