Simon Stevin's "De Thiende" and early translations

In 1608 Robert Norton published an English translation of "De Thiende". According to
Crone e.a. (1958) Norton probably used the French version for his translation.
This text was incorporated by Stevin in his work "l' Arithmétique" that also
appeared in 1585.

This abriged adaptation in Danish is interesting because Christoffer Dybvad
wanted to do for Danish what Stevin did for Dutch.
