Rudolf van Daelen photography Rudolf van Daelen photography is a sort of collective consisting of, Brenda, Claudia, Kevin and Rudolf, based in one of the suburbs of Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Although this website consists of photos made by myself, I would like to stress that it's a group effort. Without the help of my family members I would not have been where I am today. Saying this I have to stipulate that the creative insights and experiments are generally my doing.
I work along two lines. In photographing nature objects I try to strive towards an exact representation of the reality. More or less what you see in books about nature or those old drawings in biological scientific publications. My partner studied botany and I guess some of it rubbed of on my. On the other hand I sometimes try to deviate from the exact representation of reality, capturing form and texture in a photo. Black and white photography has my special interest. In my opinion this special type of photography gives the artist more creative freedom in the field of focusing on from and texture, be it a inanimate object our the human face. Lately I find myself processing more and more digital nagatives to black and white, which you will be able to see in the material on this website.
