General Remarks:

- In Denmark, as in Norway and Sweden, the weather warnings are announced on channel 16 and is then referred to a working channel. The working channel depends where you are. They are mentioned in the text, as far as known.
- Visit the Website
www.visitdenmark.com  subject "watersports"  with anchorages, regulations, harbours, etc.
- Jellyfish: in the sea-area between Denmark and Sweden are many jellyfishes.
There are many beatiful and secluded anchorages in Danish waters. When you do that during a couple of days in a row you need to fill up your batteries by using the engine. Beware of checking the cooling water outflow and rough water filter. A  sucked in jellyfish is no exception and blocks the filter with disastrous consequences.

Some important tips for Denmark:
- Norway and Sweden have their summer holidays in July. By August there is a noticable reduction of yachts, also in Danish waters, on the water and in the harbours .
-
The Danes depart regularly before 7.00 a.m. and stop at 01.00 p.m. In case you prefer a delayed departure count on rafting up in the next port.
- Even in smaller villages Points have appeared for the Euro Card. Sometimes it is still hard to use the card in shops and restaurants!  Be sure to have enough cash on you. In Denmark they still use the Danish kroner, not the Euro.
- For seamaps and combi-packs
- Check with the first Danish marina for your free Sejleren's Book Haven (Havnebeskrivelser) or order by e-mail to
Sejleren's (www.sejlerens.com). If you understand danish you can also visit the official / ministerial Havnelods and click Havnelods.
- Remember as from Denmark Northwards Propane, not Butane, is the usual type of gas. Your gassystem can accept this without change, even the governor, but the thread on the bottle is usually different.
- Not all ports have a washing machine, so make use of it when tere is one .
- Make sure you have a double electricity connector on board, shore power is usually present , but in the busy season there are often not enough unused connections.
