is the most northern harbour of the four. It is approached in a well buoyed

Suggestion: make a walk through the beautiful
sloping countryside immediately outside the city. Or visit the Langeland
museum with remnants of the Vikings.

General: Originally medieval maritime and commercial
town. Colourful warehouses.
X Make no mistake, for the
visitors harbour , the most conveniently located harbour, take the entrance
(Østre havn) leading to the commercial harbour, that brings you downtown.
The guestharbour consists of long walk-ashore moorings. Fairly busy
in season, many small motorboats, rafting up 3-4 rows. In
case of a good breeze some swell. Few electricity poles, take a double
plug with you. Sanitary: OK, no washing machines.

restaurant (of the same hotel), along the Brogade (the quay) and
typical Danish farmersdish "Fleisch": bacon flaps with boiled

General: Lohals is an old maritime harbour where
things hot up in the summer months. Music and dance at the marina on Friday
and Saturday from late June to early August, so if you do not like that:
stay away on those days. For the rest it is very peaceful.
X The marina is on the small side and manoeuvring in a packed
harbour is not easy. Sanitary facilities are
primitive but OK, no washing machine.
X Just north of the marina is the fishing and ferry harbour
with some visitors accomodation. Suggestion:
Just N of these is a long sandy beach, let the children have their run.
Here you will find peace and bliss, gorgeous landscape and pebble
beaches. Marina: Convenient stopover,
adjoining a camping. The
small marina is often busy with overnight yachties, but also Danish
holidaymakers. Sanitary: OK and
clean, plus laundrette. Provisioning: small
grocery in the harbour.
