Lundeborg,  52 mijl to Kiel
X Moore in the Lundeborg Havn just for a simple tasty lunch in the old and charming Pakhusgaarden, right in the small harbour. Install yourself outside and relax with a good glass of Carlsberg, nice view over the water.
X
Maybe you stay for the night. Then moore in the recently constructed Lundeborg Marina, right next to the above mentioned harbour. Excellent sanitary facilities, washing machine and dryer present.

Thurø eiland,
Just 2 miles SE of Svendborg, good anchoring in the Thurø Bund.

Rudkøbing, 38 miles to Kiel
General: Beautiful parklike city with extensive greenery, worth your visit, the old city center is kept intact as much as possible, a fairy tale. Marina: The marina is the most northern harbour of the four. It is approached in a well buoyed loop. WiFi: Yes. Provisioning: All necessities are there and friendly restaurants. Suggestion: make a walk through the beautiful sloping countryside immediately outside the city. Or visit the Langeland museum with remnants of the Vikings.

Svendborg,   45 miles to Kiel
General: Originally medieval maritime and commercial town. Colourful warehouses.
Marinas:
X Make no mistake, for the visitors harbour , the most conveniently located harbour, take the entrance (Østre havn) leading to the commercial harbour, that brings you downtown. The guestharbour consists of long walk-ashore moorings. Fairly busy in season, many small motorboats, rafting up 3-4 rows. In case of a good breeze some swell. Few electricity poles, take a double plug with you. Sanitary: OK, no washing machines. Restaurants: Cozy floating restaurant
"Oranje" in the harbour. Also try Ærø restaurant (of the same hotel), along the Brogade (the quay) and try the typical Danish farmersdish "Fleisch": bacon flaps with boiled potatoes and creme fraîche, drink beer and aquavit with your meal. Provisioning: buy fresh fish at the entrance to the jetty at Bendix Fiskehandel. City center nearby, fancy the stores?: take the road upwards from the Orange restaurant. WiFi: Yes. Suggestions: Bike Rental in Cykeludlejning in the Jessens Mole close to the marina. Beautiful and sturdy walking on the Archipelago Trail, ask for it in the Tourist Office or visit www.detsydfynskeohav.dk. Or visit the nature museum Naturama, www.naturama.dk
X The second harbour, near town, is the Svendborg marina (Søndre havn), more for the locals, relatively small and slightly further away from the city center. WiFi: Yes.

X The third harbour is the round Svendborg Lystbådehavn, 500 meters walk from the city center. Good facilities, less atmosphere than the Visitors harbour.

Spodsbjerg, 38 miles to Kiel
General: All by itself on the E side of Langeland. Gently sloping open countryside. Ferry's to the opposite island of Lolland. Marina: annexed to and S. from ferry and fishing harbour. Well-equipped and clean, launderette, and a kitchen to prepare your own food! Also barbecue facilities, is located at beautiful beach. Provisioning: In the old fishing village village are a small supermarket, hotel and restaurant and a free bus service to Rudkøbing. In short: easy going and child-friendly.

Lohals,   50 miles to Kiel
General: Lohals is an old maritime harbour where things hot up in the summer months. Music and dance at the marina on Friday and Saturday from late June to early August, so if you do not like that: stay away on those days. For the rest it is very peaceful. Marina:
X The marina is on the small side and manoeuvring in a packed harbour is not easy. Sanitary facilities are primitive but OK, no washing machine.
X
Just north of the marina is the fishing and ferry harbour with some visitors accomodation. Suggestion: Just N of these is a long sandy beach, let the children have their run.

Omø eiland,
General: Here you will find peace and bliss, gorgeous landscape and pebble beaches. Marina: Convenient stopover, adjoining a camping. The small marina is often busy with overnight yachties, but also Danish holidaymakers. Sanitary: OK and clean, plus laundrette. Provisioning: small grocery in the harbour.
