Newly
featured on this site is my BX GTi 4WD U9, it was build in 1990 and firstly
admitted to the dutch public roads on October 19th of that year, it's my
second BX.
I have bought the car on June 21st of 2003 and it had done 238.000 kms then. The car came from it's second owner, and is a 'one of' BX. Not only were very few BX's 4WD sold in Holland (about 8), this car was originally sold fully equiped as a BX 16 valve. So the special 16v bumpers, skirts and wheels have always been on this car but unfortunately it never had the special 4WD striping. It also has the electrical operated tilting/sliding roof, ABS and all the fun GTi features like 2 electric mirrors, 4 electric windows and the foglights. I've added the leather interior, a rear roofspoiler and a 6 speaker audio system with a 10cd player. The 4WD provides staggering cornering characteristics and is great fun to drive, though is isn't as fast as the Sport or 16 valve. Both this BX 4WD and the BX Sport are here to stay, these 2 cars are my final BX's. You may click here to read an article (in dutch) about this car published in 1998 in a Citroen Magazine called 'CitroExpert' and check out some awesome 'off the road' pictures ! |

At
the end of the last century (27 december 1999) I came across my first BX.
It was the dream car I had always wanted eversince I was a little boy.
A "Gris Renard" (blue grey) BX Sport with very low milage (133.000 kms)
and in a superbe condition. All maintenance books came with the car, it
was perfect. It now has the quad light
conversion and a Sebring freeflow middle and rear box, two
K&N bolt on airfilters are yet to be made to fit the double Solex's.
(pictures will soon follow)

At
the end of 2000, i feared my beloved Alfa 33 woudn't cope with another
snowy and salty winter, I still was going to do massive kilometers though
so the gas guzzling BX Sport was no option either (and also not to fond
of snow and salt). So I went and bought this 1989 BX 19 TRS (U9) on November
15th. It is a very strong runner with 292.000 km's on the clock (7000 done
by me). The LPG tank is placed underneeth the car (were the spare wheel
used to be (spare wheel is now in the trunk). Other options are the bronze
tinted windows, 16v aloy wheels and a tilting roof.

Unfortunately
this white BX needed new hydrolics to get it through the yearly M.O.T.
(APK). With 327.000 kms on the clock I decided not to repair the car, and
bought this black 1988 BX TRD (DTR) Turbo. Wich is my current runner...curently
at 304.000 kms. Options are the tilting roof (excellent with spring/summer
weather), some speedline alloys, the 16v front spoiler, rear headrests,
a 16v steeringwheel, smokey rearlights, a towbar, handsfree telephone kit
and an alarmsystem to protect the stereo, big speakers and the 10cd player.
The car is a very swift runner in day to day traffic, and just perfect
for heavy duty city traffic. In June of 2003 unfortunately this BX also
has passed away, it needed more things fixt than it had parts...so time
to say goodbye. I went out to buy my final BX, the ultimate BX if I may
say so...displayed above...the BX GTi 4WD !!!
