Maximum Amount of Cat, also known as Max,
was quite a character, and very much loved for that.
Not only by us, but by
everyone who knew him. At the age of 9, he entered our household
as a temporary
solution for the problems he was causing.
His temporary stay turned out to be
permanent until the day he died on my lap.
Max lived for food and love and preferably
in that order. We could make him do anything as long as we made
sure that there
was some edible reward available. Max has been a life long big friend of human kind,
and he
loved being shown. He used to flirt with both judges and
public. He had a first show career with
Cattery Kirazamber, and he
started a second and even a third one with us.
To our great regret Max became ill in the
first week of November 2007, and started to have trouble breathing.
Several vets,
including some specialists, made X-rays, and even ultra-sound scans were made.
Unfortunately en very tragically, Max could not be helped. He suffered from
bronchio-alveolar carcinoma,
a very rare form of lung cancer in cats. He had
only a quarter lung left, so that wasn't much.
After this diagnosis we hoped to give Max
some nice and comfortable time, but it wasn't to be.
Only one and a half day
later, we had to make that terrible decision. Our vet was kind enough to come
as
soon as we made the call, and Max went peacefully. Surrounded by the whole
family, human and feline.
Max now rests in our garden, on a nice spot with
beautiful red rose next to it.
