This is a closer look at a bridge-like machine in the nearby mine Nochten. The bridge is 600 meters long and 50,000 metric tons heavy. It is Europe's largest structure that is able to move on rails. The white cars in the middle of the picture give you an impression of the size of the machine.

When fully operational, the machine needs 30,000 Volts of electrical power.
