This picture shows the "Roche Blanche" near the town of "Saint-Claude". The mountain is a typical example of so called "anticlinal ridge", which means that the surface of the mountain perfectly matches the shape of the fold. This is clearly visible in the picture: the surface of the mountain lies parallel to the rock-layers inside the mountain. The reason that this is visible today is that half the mountain was eroded by a river.
