Holiday Luxembourg

08-08-1999 to 08-14-1999

This wasn't a fieldwork or an excursion. It was just a holiday in Luxembourg with a few friends. But, as we're all studying geology or geography, we were still interested in the beautiful landscape.

However, the holiday was planned because of a major event: the solar eclipse on Wednesday the 11th of August 1999! The eclipse should be visible in northern France, so we decided to spend a week in de beautiful "Petite Suisse"-region. From here, it would be easy to avoid overcrowded roads, as many Europeans were expected to drive towards the region in which the eclipse would be visible.
