                            Le choix de Pablo Picasso

In 1997 is de beschrijving van het beeldarchief van het > Musée Picasso < ( Paris ) afgerond. Er zijn o.a. 40 Fortierkaarten aan  het licht gekomen, die gebaseerd zijn op een foto-expeditie langs de Niger, welke begon in Conakry (Guinee) in oktober 1905 en eindigde in Timbouctou ( Mali ) in januari 1906. Een kleine selectie hiervan is op deze expo te bewonderen. Uit het boek "Picasso and Photography", door Anne Baldassari, uitgever: Flammarion-Paris( ISBN: 2-08013-646-1), blijkt  dat verschillende van deze kaarten Pablo Picasso hebben geïnspireerd bij het maken van schilderijen en tekeningen. Er is in ieder geval een speciale relatie tussen het schilderij > Les Démoiselles d' Avignon <- en de prentbriefkaart CGF-1150  types des femmes Soudanaises.

In 1997 the description of the picture-archive of the > Musée Picasso < (Paris) was completed. Some 40 Fortier -postcards   have come to light, based on his photographic- expedition along the Niger, started in Conakry ( Guinea) in Oct.1905 up to Timbuctu ( Mali ) in Jan.1906.A small choice can be admired on this site.      From the book " Picasso and Photography " - The Dark Mirror - by Anne Baldassari (ISBN 2-08013-646-1) publisher: Flammarion-Paris, we learn that several of these pictures inspired Pablo Picasso.There is a special relationship between the painting > Les Démoiselles d' Avignon < -  and the postcard CGF-1150 " types des femmes Soudanaises "

En 1997 le  >  Musée Picasso  <  ( Paris ) a complété l'inventaire de sa collection de 17.000 photographies et 40 cartes postales de Fortier ont été présentées à cette occasion. Ces photographies sont basées sur une photo-expédition le long de la rivière Niger.(1905/06) Cette expédition commença à Conakry (Guinée) en octobre 1905, finissant à Tombouctou en janvier 1906 puis par son retour à St.Louis (Sénégal) en avril 1906. Une petite sélection est réservée à cette expo.  Du livre "Le Miroir Noir- Picasso and Photography", éditeur Anne Baldassari, Flammarion-Paris( ISBN:2-08013-646-1), on a constaté que certaines cartes postales ont inspiré Pablo Picasso dans ses peintures et dessins entre 1906-1907.

Il y a une relation spéciale entre la peinture - >Les Demoiselles d'Avignon <  -- et le carte postale CGF-1150 - types des femmes.
