A little later then planned, but the new issue of "The New York, Culkin Times" is here.
A lot has happened in the past month regarding the internet. Culkin sites have come and gone, names have changed etc. I've tried to get all this info processed in the links of the paper, so feel free to check them out.
I also added a guestbook to the index page of the paper. (This is the page that you first load before you select any of the available issues). Please let me know what you think of this cyber news paper, by leaving me a message in this guestbook.
This index page also allows you to access the older issues of the paper. Use the go 'back' function or use the link to the index page at the bottom of this page.
Again if any of you like to contribute to this paper, or just like to have something printed here, please send your info to my E-Mail address.
Till next time, Mark

Elizabeth Taylor
You might say, how is she Culkin related? Well, Elizabeth Taylor is related to so many people in so many ways, that's what makes her such a special woman.
This intelligent and beautiful woman is one of worlds greatest celebrities. Besides her gifts to us thru her wonderful movies, she has also contributed to a lot of humanitarian support. She has been a solid base, supporting many people where needed, even when nobody else would. Not to forget her generous contributions to the AIDS research. While she has been so good to life, life has not always been so good to her. She has lived through many social and medical problems, but nothing ever kept this woman from standing up and facing life with a strength of character, that only but too few people in the world have been able to show.
She has been awarded many times throughout her life, and then again no Award can decorade her enough for the life she has been living. Therefore it is a great pleasure to see the Screen Actors Guild honor Elizabeth Taylor with the Lifetime Achievement Award. My sincere congratulations to Mrs. Taylor, for she deserves this award like no other.
For all of you who want to witness this event, it will be broadcasted live on TNT on March 8.

A closer look at 'The Mighty'
As we all know, Kieran's next movie is going to be 'The Mighty'. Unfortunately the realease of this movie has been delayed again. The new tentative date is October 30th.
Great expectations are associated with this movie, and when we look at the people involved in it, that comes as no suprise. Besides our great and beloved artist 'Kieran Culkin', we find many other big names related to this movie.
For one, Sharon Stone. She is one of the executive producers of this move and also stars in the role of Gwen, the single mother of Kevin (played by Kieran). Sharon has a long record of movies to her name, and recently got more involved on the production side. Her big breakthrough came with the movie 'Basic Instinct', after this performance she became one of Hollywood's most wanted. She is a very talented woman, with a very busy schedule. Recently her new movie 'Sphere' has been released, which was actually done after 'The Mighty'. Then again with the potential of a movie like 'The Mighty', timing is a critical factor. How unfair things might seem, especially to Kieran, we must wait some more.
An other big name is that of Gillian Anderson. With her performances as 'Agent Scully' in the TV-Series the X-Files, she became a star, well known around the world. Even though she once stated 'never to do TV', this media became her big breakthrough, for which she has been awarded many times. Gillian plays the role of Loretta, who together with Iggy (Meat Loaf) form the biker couple that meet the boys. The movie 'The Mighty' is directed by Peter Chelsom, who himself started out as an actor, but changed his focus to writing and directing movies. In this profession he earned respect for his movies "Hear my song" and "Funny Bones". His focus is set on making quality productions, which are universal and accessible. He has an eye for detail and a feel for combining drama with an eccentric sense of humor.
The movie 'The Mighty' has been adapted from the book "Freak the Mighty" written by Rodman Philbrick. Rodman has an extensive background in writing children books, but his major success came when he started to write his novels in the voice of a 12-year-old boy. "Freak the Mighty" is one of his master pieces. This beautifully written, incredible story is seen through the eyes of Max (Elden Henson), a 6-foot-tall mute boy, raised by his grandparents (played by Harry Dean Stanton and Gena Rowlands). His life changes when Kevin moves down into his street. Kevin suffers from Morquio's Syndrome, which has stunt the growth of his body, but not of his mind. They become friends and team up as "Freak the Mighty" to venture out on quests in their neighborhood. Soon their quests uncover horrifying truths about Max's past that will change the cause of their live's, leading into the inevitable. Rodney himself is very content with the movie, and commented with great admiration on the professional performances of Kieran. Kieran you're gonna be big for sure!
