NMVB Brabant 3: the L(eerbeek) route, part 1

The other route L, from Brussels to Leerbeek, was a marvellous one. Running mostly on roadside reserved track through the beautiful region south-west of Brussels called 'Pajottenland' it had some private right-of-way parts. The closure of this route in September 1972 was deplored by many people.

The magnificent landscape of the Pajottenland offered a perfect scenery for the vicinal line. The picture was taken on the last day of tramway operation: 1 September 1972.
