The Thomas Branch

Genealogy is full of surprises, and this was one of them.  Nearly all of my ancestors in all branches of the family art either Scotch Irish or English.  Because the named Thomas sounds English, and my great-grandfather, Victor Thomas, had a very American accent, I never suspected anything different for this branch of the family.  However, the Dufford branch is definitely of German origin, and it would not surprise me to discover someday that this also applies to the Thomas branch.
