In dit menu wordt toegang verleend tot elektronische onderzoeksbestanden die het Instituut voor Nederlandse Geschiedenis voor raadpleging ter beschikking stelt. Hieronder vallen: 1) eindbestanden: dit zijn resultaten van afgesloten onderzoek die uitsluitend in elektronische vorm worden gepubliceerd alsmede elektronische versies van ook in boekvorm verschenen publicaties, 2) werkbestanden: dit zijn resultaten van niet afgesloten onderzoek die tussentijds worden vrijgegeven alsmede hulpmiddelen die nog in bewerking zijn, 3) interne richtlijnen voor het maken van bronpublicaties. - De Digitale Bibliotheek voor de Nederlandse Letteren (DBNL) stelt Nederlandse literatuur online beschikbaar. De DBNL bevindt zich in een opbouwfase, maar nu al is er een schat aan informatie over auteurs en teksten te vinden.

- Aan het volk van Nederland! is a pamphlet that led to the Dutch patriotic revolt. To the people of the Netherlands! is an English translation of some sections.
- Grondwet voor het Koninkrijk der Nederlanden. The Dutch Constitution.
- Lopéz Martín's Manuscript Collection on the Eighty Years War between the Spanish Monarchy and the United Provinces. In the future a larger series of transcribed documents will be integrated in the collection. At the moment, however, there are few documents on Dutch history to be found.
- Tacitus. Not exactly Dutch history, but you can find here The Annals by Tacitus and a Dutch translation.

Databases and statistics
- History Data archives (NHDA), part of the NIWI (the Netherlands Institute for Scientific Information Services). The Netherlands Historical Data Archive (NHDA) collects historical datasets created by Dutch researchers or data sets concerning the Netherlands. Part of the dataset collection is freely accessible on the Internet. The NHDA also keeps a register of historical datasets that are kept elsewhere.
NIWI participates in a large number of projects on the concersion and dissemination of historical information and has a lot of expertise in the field of digitalisation and dissemination of historical data, and the longterm preservation of digital information. NIWI also organises training courses for historians.
- Historical Sample of the Netherlands (HSN) offers scientists a unique quantitative research tool for the study of historical developments in the Netherlands.
The HSN is a well-structured database consisting of a representative sample of persons born in the Netherlands between 1812 and 1922 (n=80.000). A rich variety of data concerning their life-careers is beeing gathered and is available to the scientific community.
- StatLine Home Page is the statistical database on the Netherlands maintained by the CBS (Statistics Netherlands), a government institution, and falls under the responsibility of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. Its area of work is determined by the Central Commission for Statistics, an independent commission made up of representatives from government, science and society. This ‘parliament’ guarantees the independence of Statistics Netherlands and the impartiality of the information it provides.
The information Statistics Netherlands collects incorporates a multitude of societal aspects, from macro-economic indicators such as economic growth and consumer prices, to the quality of life of individual people.
- Dutch entries in the pound-toll registers of Elbing 1585-1700 is a downloadable database with data on the Dutch trade with the Baltic area (description in Dutch). This is a project of the Institute of Netherlands History.
- Gewestelijke financiën ten tijde van de Republiek der Verenigde Nederlanden. Data on the provincial finances during the Republic. This is a project of the Institute of Netherlands History.
- Belastingkohier Leiden 1747. Downloadable data set from the census of 1847 in the city of Leiden (in Dutch).
Paintings, drawings and photographs
- Collections of art-historical documentation in the Netherlands is a a permanent guide to those scholarly libraries in the Netherlands that possess holdings that are of particular relevance for professional art-historical research, and thus to direct researchers as quickly and accurately as possible to that or those institution(s) in the Netherlands that are best provided with the materials necessary for their work. Its scope is limited to the history of art of the Western world from the early Middle Ages until the present day. It contains many relevant links.
- The CODART list: museums with significant collections of

- Rijksmuseum. A part of the collection of this famous museum is online.
- Part of the Collectie van het Instituut Collectie Nederland is on line. 30.000 works of art can be browsed by making use of a image database.
- The Historisch Museum Rotterdam and Atlas Van Stolk Online Databases. A searchable database with many pictures.
- Spaarnestad Fotoarchief . The wesbite of one of the biggest (commercial) photograph collections in the Netherlands (in Dutch).
- Nederland: een eeuw in beeld. The history of the 20th-century Netherlands in pictures.
- Collection of the Jewish Historical Museum in Amsterdam. This database contains descriptions of the complete collection of objects and images within the museum (approximately 10,000 records). Good search facilitiets.
- A hundred highlights from the Koninklijke Bibliotheek. Just like the version of the Highlights published in book form, the digital Highlights can be browsed and provide an extensive introduction and index. Moreover, the electronic presentation offers you the opportunity of joining a number of selected guided tours. If you are interested in the ways the Library's treasures on paper or parchment were made, there are tours, for instance, of miniatures in medieval manuscripts, modern typography, bookbindings and paper making. For those interested in the contents of these works of art, there are tours of literary, religious, historical, art historical and other subjects. Excellent site.
- The Tulip Book of P. Cos. The tulip book of nurseryman P. Cos of Haarlem is a manuscript nursery catalogue of tulips and a small number of other flowers, published in 1637. In comparison with other tulip books, this one is special because not only their names are mentioned, but also their weight and the price for which each bulb was sold.
