Jan Oomen (1917-1995) and his wife Ans Schouten (1917-1990) in the swingchair. The photo appeared in the regional daily newspaper De Stem on August 26, 1989 illustrating an article about Jan's activities as a local historian.
Cornelis Schouten (1831-1904) and his wife Anna Maria van de Wetering (1840-1897) were Ans Schouten's paternal grandparents. Her maternal grandfather was also called Schouten.
