Construction:
Already some time ago a wood male model of the fuselage was constructed and was used to form a female glass-fiber mould and then some fuselages were made.
The wings are made from white foam with obeche veneer, reinforced inside and outside with light glass tissue.
The original sailplane had some linnen covering of the wings, while the model is entirely planked. The rudder and the elevator are covered with Solartex.
Paint scheme:
The markings are those of an original which, at the time, resided at the local airport, sporting red and grey colors of Cremona along with the name of the most remarkable monument of Cremona: "Torrazzo". The plane is named after the huge tower
"Torrazzo", the highest bell tower in Europe, 115 meters high, which was built in 12th and 13th century.
Flying characteristics:
The model was flown by tow and on the slope and flies beautifully.
