Director, producer, composer, and writer , Francis Ford Coppola (born in Detroit, Michigan in 1939) made a TV commercial for illy Italy. Beside that he is the author of the illy collection set, Textures of Home.
The set was available with a suggested retail price of $85.00. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of cups went to Coppola's favorite charity, North Beach Citizens, a San Francisco-based pilot program committed to finding innovative ways to help the homeless remake their lives.
The set of six cups, boxed with a can of illy espresso and a brochure, feature designs from
nature—olive leaves, gravel, coffee beans, bay leaves, grass and chili peppers.
