David Byrne's Alien cups and sugar bowl were released as a regular 2001 illy collection set and a 2000 special set that came in a special package: a space ship.
But, there is more .... another 250 special Aliens sets were made for friends and relatives of David Byrne him self. So what's the diffenrence with the regular set? Well, there isn't much to see on the outside. Only the numbering of the cups is different, because all the cups have the same number. Beside that, the stamp on the bottom of the cups say's ARTIST'S PROOF as you can see on the picture.
I found out about these special set, because one of the musicians that David Byrne works with contacted me and sold two sets to me.
