P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center’s Studio Program brings artists from the U.S and other parts of the world to New York and for a one-year residence. This talented group represents a cross-section of emerging artists from across the globe selected from thousands of applicants. Through its exposure to the studio program, illycaffè proposed to create a new collection of cups drawing upon the outstanding talent at P.S.1.
Nineteen artists in the 1999-2000 studio program were invited to submit a design proposal. These proposals were reviewed by a curatorial panel from P.S.1 and our new partners at the Museum of Modern Art.
This regular illy collection gift set includes six signed and numbered espresso cups, a can of ground roasted illy espresso coffee and an P.S.1 Collection brochure.
