Marina Abramovic (born 1946 in Belgrad, Jugoslavia) is a performance artist who investigates and pushes the boundaries of physical and mental potential. As winner of the Golden Lion at the Venice Biennale in 1997, Abramovic currently lives and teaches in Amsterdam.
Using ironic photos that portray her in various poses on a splendid exotic beach,
the artist’s vitality, imagination and expressive power are represented in this
