Photographer Michel Comte (born 1954 in Zürich) decorated this limited edition espresso cup with a fist which gives way to a dove, to symbolize the ability of peace to overcome violence.

Bot the cup and the saucer are decorated and signed, but only the cup is numbered. Unlike most other sets, there came no brochure in the special package. The 2000 pieces were designed in collaboration with the International Committee of the Red Cross to support the victims of the conflicts in Angola, Ethiopia and Afghanistan.

When the cup was released through the Italian illy site, February 17th 2002, the price was €48,-. It was sold out within a year and nowerdays the price is much higher.
