From 10 years great talents of contemporary art and emerging artists are used the illy cup as a convas on whichto express themselves. “illy nude” has shed all colour and even it’s originary material, china, centering the attention on its content. Coffee becomes a work of art which, with unpredictable casualness, draws on the crystal of the cup new profiles. Coffee is re-discovered as a plessure which enthrals all senses in its most “nude” form.
From March 24th the 4 cup Nude set designed by Matteo Thun could be bought through the illy internet site. Please notice that this is not an illy collection set.
The four Crystal cups do not have the name illy collection, and they are not signed
and numbered. However, they come in a giftbox together with a can of espresso coffee and
the usual brochure and I think they can't be missed in any illy and amici cup collection.
