"Blown-up animals seem to come alive on the porcelain mugs". That's how illy describes this new illy collection set when they were presented on the 1st of December 2004 in Milan.
After designing 6 espresso and cappuccino cups in 2001, now Jeff Koons decorated two mugs. Koons is considered one of the most important and innovative artists alive today, thanks to the way in which he has confronted the fundamental themes of culture and contemporary art. During the past twenty years, his work has been exhibited in major international contemporary art museum.
Jeff Koons's illy collection mugs come in a kit
together with, a "plastic" brochure and a 250g pack of illy coffee especially ground
for filter or long espresso.
