So far I have only been able to get a few interviews and articles. I probably will not get many more because in my country most American magazines are not available. I have tried scanning the images from the magazine in which I have found the interviews, but it did not work. This means you will only get the interview and not the pictures. I am sorry, but the interviews are not very recent either. I have decided to put them in my site anyway, because I want it to be as complete as possible. The source of each interview is mentioned. The "Nicholle in People Magazine" part was originally found in People Magazine, but I got it from the internet. It came with a photo, which is also displayed here. The other pictures do not have any connection with the articles. They just looked good. Remember: these pictures can also be found in the Photo Collection.
Nicholle's first nod to her big sister's fashion supremacy was back in the fourth grade. "I put on my mom's red lipstick because I wanted to do what Heather was doing," says Nicholle, 17, who plays high-spirited Maggie Sheffield on CBS's The Nanny. "I got it all over my face." That was then. "Now she has a really unique fashion sense." says Heather, 19, who plays seductive Victoria Newman Howard on CBS's The Young and the Restless. While Heather goes for classic clothes "that aren't out of style next month--I live in white shirts," Nicholle favors flowery Betsey Johnson numbers and futuristic minis. "I want to dress for fun," she explains. The sisters, who live 15 miles from each other in L.A., rarely share clothes, especially since Heather "has more of a body, and I'm more of a string bean," says the 5'9? Nicholle. But recently the curvy 5'7? Heather had to hand over a prized vintage dress. "I wanted to wear it so badly," she says. "But it only fit my thumb."

Certain your chin-length bob is as boring as it gets? So did The Nanny star Nicholle Tom- but not after her exclusive photo shoot with Sophisticate's! At sweet and giggly 16, Nicholle has already jumped into the limelight… And intends to stay right there! With her steady gig on the Nanny, and past roles on Beverly Hills 9021, The Fresh Price Of Bel Air and (yes!) the movies Beethoven and Beethoven's 2nd, Nicholle isn't your everyday, run-of-the-mill teenager… Or is she? Listen in as Sophisticate's takes you straight into Nicholle's life…
Sophisticate's Hairstyle Guide: Fans must love your shiny hair. Do you use anything special on it?
Nicholle Tom: Basically not. I just wash it with shampoo and conditioner. I have this special shampoo for when I go swimming- from Nexxus.
SHG: What do you do if you have a bad hair day?
Nicholle: Well, I don't like to wear hats! So, I usually pull my hair back into a little tiny ponytail.
SHG: Have you ever had a hair disaster?
Nicholle: One time, I went to get my hair cut and the guy washed my hair, but didn't put any conditioner in it. He was brushing it out and it had these knots at the end, so he just took the scissors and cut my hair al around my head! Then he said, "Okay, you're through." And I was like what'd you do to my hair?! And I went home and actually it was one of the best hair cuts I ever had. But it was scary getting it.
SHG: What would you ideal hair be?
Nicholle: I'd like to have really long hair, kind of like my sister's (Heather, actress on The Young & The Restless). I'd like to have it long with layers in the front and I'd like to have brown hair too. I'd do anything if I could dye my hair black, but I can't… I'd just like to see what i'd look like for a couple of days. I wouldn't want it permanently or anything- just for a different look.
SHG: Have you ever colored your hair?
Nicholle: I have blonde highlights in it.
SHG: At 16, you must have some favorite makeup items.
Nicholle: I usually wear the same lipstick- Twig from M.A.C.- I usually wear a lot of M.A.C. I put on powder, rouge, mascara and stuff- and i put on some coverup if I have a few zits!
SHG: What have you learned from work about putting on makeup?
Nicholle: Well, I always do my friends' makeup and so for mascara I know excactly what to do: I say "Look at my shoulder," because The Nanny makeup artist always makes me look at her shoulders, so I don't get mascara in my eyes… I haven't learned anything abnormal!
SHG: How do the make-overs of your friends turn out?
Nicholle: Pretty good! Like, my best friend Whitney, I always before we go out. She's always really happy.
Clothes "I basically like funky clothes. I like really bright colors. I wear a lot of Betsy Johnson and Anna Sui. My favorite dress right now is my pink sparkly one. I love that dress!"
Holidays "I like the Cristmas dinner at my house. My mom is a wonderful cook and all of our friends bring over food, so there's always a lot of food and I love to eat!"
Dreamdate "We'd fly in his Lear jet to Paris for a nice little dinner then go off to Bermuda… I don't know!"
Guys "I hate how guys always have to be cool. Sometimes they don't think they can be themselves around you. I like a guy to be himself and not really care if it's cool or not."
Twin David "It's kind of weird (being a twin) because when you go to school or to a party, he's always there. So he knows everything about my friends and he's always hitting on them!"
School "I go to a regular public school. I go week out of every month, so it's hard getting back into those little groups. When you're not there all the time, you don't really have anywhere to go because everybody's made their friends."
Fran Drescher "She's a great person. She's a really strong woman and a really good role model. I look up to her."
Best friend Whitney "She just goes to school- she's a normal person, just like me!"

… Tom says she's hoping her flirtatius character will settle down once and for all with a serious beau. "Maggie has a new boyfriend every episode and then she dumps them," laughs the bubbly blond. "I think it's a time that she get dumped so she could feel what it's like." The nanny herself, Fran Drescher thinks it's a good idea for Maggie to settle down, adds Tom. "Fran's been thinking about how Maggie would react to beeing dumped," she says. "Then again, I guess it's not so bad having a new cute boy to act with every episode. I really shouldn't complain!"

"This was the first time I ever had my own bedroom," says a wistful Nicholle Tom, 19, co-star of CBS's The Nanny, as she packs up to move to her first apartment in Beverly Hills. Until a few years ago she shared a room with sis Heather (The Young and the Restless), 21, and as a baby she split the nursery with her twin, David, an actor. But when the three sibs and their single mom, Marie, a speech therapist, moved into this Pasadena townhouse, Nicholle discovered that ownership had its privileges, like redecorating. "I painted it, I put the wallpaper border up all by myself," she says. But her mom chides that "she never got the light-socket covers back up because that's not fun." Fun for Nicholle involves dressing up in her neon pink feather boa and diving into a box of beads and fake jewels that she glues onto picture frames, purses and sunglasses. She also displays a stuffed St. Bernard from her Beethoven films and access passes from premieres she has attended. "It's not like I'm putting it up to, like, show off or anything," Nicholle says. "It's just part of my life."

Nicholle Tom of CBS's The Nanny is too young to remember the first Dr. Scholl's craze, but she's catching up quikly. The 19-year-old's latest addition to her 150-pair shoe collection --which boasts green plastic platforms and glittery Doc Martens -- is a pair of high-tech holographic Scholl's. "I wore them to work, and everyone wanted to know where I'd gotten them," says Tom.

When she was
a little girl Nicholle Tom, who stars as Maggie Sheffield on the hit CBS comedy "The Nanny", was on her back porch perfecting the skills that would one day lead her to Hollywood."I've always loved playing different characters," said the 18-year-old actress who sounds more like the girl next door than a television star. "My sister, brother, neighborhood kids and I would put on little plays on our back porch. I used to get so involved in make-believe games with some of my friends that if we were pretending that we were in a fight with each other my friends would end up leaving because I would draw it out too far."
Nicholle's mother, who once worked as an agent, believed her three children should try their luck in the acting business so she packed up the family and left Seattle for a two-week vacation in California. Nicholle was just 10 years old. "We lived with one of my Mom's co-workers when we came to California. We stayed with him in his single bedroom apartment," Nicholle remembers, laughing. "I slept on a chair, and my mom and sister slept on an air mattress. We stayed there for six months because my brother got a play. Then my sister got some work so that kept us there another week." The visit turned into a permanent move for the family to the City of Los Angeles.
Nicholle's twin brother, David, has appeared in "Stayed Tune" and "Roommates." Older sister Heather currently stars as Victoria Newman Howard on the soap opera "The Young And The Restless."
At 13, after taking acting classes, Nicholle went on her first audition for a role in "I'll Fly Away" (a dramatic series which aired on NBC several years ago). She lost out, but did much better on her next audition where she landed the role of the oldest sister in the hit "Beethoven." Shortly after, at age 14, she was cast in "The Nanny."
While she enjoys her work on the television show, which stars Fran Drescher, Nicholle discovered early on that show business leaves little time for anything else. Working three weeks out of every month, the teen attended her regular, public high school only during the weeks she wasn't filming. The rest of the time she was tutored on the set, three hours each day, and received school work via a fax machine. She graduated in the spring and did what she had dreamed of for a long time & emdash; walking across the stage and accepting her diploma.
Education is very important to Nicholle, who plans on attending UCLA and majoring in design. "It's a major priority for me to go to college because I think it's extremely important that you always have something to fall back on in this kind of business."
In the meantime, this actress is keeping busy with "The Nanny," starring in a couple of movies of the week, and working with sister Heather and Chad Allen ("Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman") producing theater productions in Los Angeles.
"I'm the kind of person that if I'm not doing something, I'm incredibly bored. I always have to have something to do. I love being busy," she explained. "Maybe someday I'll take a break and maybe relax."
We seriously doubt it.
Favorite subject in high school:
I was good in math and I loved English. I wasn't very good at history or science.Advice for teenagers interested in an acting career: You have to be very committed to what you want to do. Get in an acting class and study.
Hardest part of being an actress: Accepting the rejection, because it's all over the place. If you can't accept the rejection, then this isn't the town for you and acting isn't the profession you want to get in to.
Best part of being an actress: Doing theater. It's a natural high.
What it's like having a sister and brother who also act: They are one big support team. Growing up, we were always searching for common goals.
What Nicholle does for fun: See movies with friends, ride horses and shop for vintage clothing.
Favorite song: "Get up and climb that hill again ... " Tom Petty, 1996
Maggie Sheffield From the "rock star" clothes she wears to the "fun disco room" she has created in the dan of her Toluca Lake, Calid home, Nicholle Tom admits that she had decorated her life with an eye to the outrageous tastes of her former Nanny costar Fran Drescher. "I guess Fran's style sort of rubbed off on me," she says. Tom also turned to her onscreen caretaker for more than fashion tips. "She was getting to an age where she had boyfriends," Drescher recalls. "So we talked about what it was like dating guys." Right now, Tom, 22, would't have much to share. For the past seven months she has been involved with Jeff Mosbrucker, 24, an aspiring screenwriter. Her career has also been on a steady track. This spring, Tom- whose twin brother David, 22, and sister Heather, 24, are regulars on The Young and the Restless- starred as a figure skater in the made-for-TV movie Ice Angel. The shoot proved challenging for the actress, who says,"I was never very athlethic," In fact, her favorite Nanny episode found her vying for a spot on the school athlethics team. "I had to fly over a horse, walk on the balance beam, clim a robe," she notes. "It as actually me trying to do those things! Lately Tom has been stretching her talent. In the upcoming film Panic, she's cast as a hairdresser opposite to Neve Cambell. But she'll spend this summer studying painting and is thinking about becoming an animal trainer."Really" she says, "I have a million interests."
