Liberation-Day festival, Rotterdam 5-5-2000.

Again, it was up to the Apemen to save another badly-programmed festival. A festival filled with utterly boring and tragic no-goods. Hence the Apemen! With a 5000+ crowd melting away under a subtropical sun, the masked simian sexgods pulled it off once again. Everybody knows those festival crowds are the hardest crowds to play for. But we don't have to tell you that the Apemen understood their jobs and pulled it off quite successfully, if we may say so!

So, what was all the fuzz about then? Well, each year on the fifth of May, the people in Holland celebrate the day that the Allied Forces freed Holland from the Germans in the second world war. This date, 5-5-1945, is celebrated by having music festivals, happenings and more war movies on television then it's humanly possible to watch in a lifetime, all on one night! Off course, what's a good music show worth without The Apemen? That's right, nothing! That's also what the promoters were thinking when they asked us to do the show in Rotterdam, hometown to half of The Apemen. Well, for those of you who weren't there, the only thing we can say is that you missed a damn fine performance! But not to worry just take a look at the pictures below, put on some Apemen music and use your imagination about what could have happened if you had been there with us; your favorite band in the world!
