A Few Photos of the Innocent

rainbow line

Here a just a few poignant photos of the innocents of War / Famine from one small area of the world and in one small time frame in the great scheme of things. I have very many photos of such places as Burundi, Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of Congo) Somalia, Sudan where my work has taken me. I will be expanding and changing the content as time goes by so Watch This Space. If anyone is interested in larger images than the ones here on offer then contact me HERE and we can come to some arrangement.

Boy with scooter --Children seem to bounce back rather quickly sometimes even though there are great troubles around them. This was taken in the Ruhehe refugee camp. (circa. 1994).
Children --Some more children this time at the Kyonza refugee camp. (circa. 1994).
Child with Jug --This child was recovering from hunger in Sudan (circa. 1996).
Children in bed --These children where the orphans of war and where at the Kibumba refugee camp. (circa. 1994).
Around a table --Some more of the innocents, this time from Kirundo, Burundi, but taken care of in an orphanage run by wonderful Sisters of the cloth.
Kitale camp --Here is a panoramic of the Kitale, (Zaire now the Democratic Republic of Congo) refugee camp. It was situated on a lava field so latrine digging (amongst other things) was all but impossible. This was at the time of the Cholera epidemic in 1994.
