[ENG] Akeptous (a woman), the God-loving, offered this table [altar] for (the) god J.C., as a remembrance.

[NED] Akeptous (een vrouw), de godlievende, schonk deze tafel [altaar] voor (de) god Jezus Christus, als een aandenken.

1.3 Gaianos, the 'officer'.



[ENG] <palm branch?> Gaianos, also called Porphyri(o?)s <khi-rho: centurio> our beloved brother

("having sought honour for himself (?)) , from his own money,

had this mosaic made. Brouti(o?)s carried out the work.

 

[NED] <palmtak?> Gaianos, ook bekend als Porphyri(o?)s <khi-rho: centurio>, onze geliefde broeder/

heeft, (nadat hij zich eer verworven had (?)), uit eigen middelen,

dit mozaïek laten maken. (Brouti(o?)s heeft het werk uitgevoerd.)
