The masterplan of the area South of the Hofplein is meant to revive this part of the city. This area should become the Broadway of Rotterdam, with a theatre (part of the Coolsingeltoren), cinema's and other urban entertainment facilities. The masterplan of the Hofplein South area consists of 5 or 6 new highrises, including Coolsingeltoren, Corsotoren and Hiltontoren. The height of the other 2 or 3 towers is unknown, but Mecanoo are studying on a residential project which could be up to 250m.,820ft.
