  • December 2011: It looks like the endangered ZICA Buck Rogers line will be picked up by another company, which is supposed to be "very reputable". The company will be acquiring both the tooling and the license for the Buck Rogers figures. If this goes through then the remaining action figures that were planned, including Hawk and Wilma, will be produced by this company at some point in the future. Read more about this on the Mego Talk forum.
  • September 2011: due to disappointing sales on ZICA Toys' Buck and Tigerman action figures, it looks like the remaining Buck Rogers figures (Hawk, Killer Kane, Draconian Guard) will not be produced. Read more about it on the Mego Talk forum.
But maybe the Buck Rogers line can be saved if enough people buy Buck or Tigerman; they're on sale now for only $19,95!
The figures are 8" and will cost around $30. Buck and Tigerman should be available by the end of 2010, while Hawk and the other two action figures (Kane and Draconian Guard) are expected somewhere in 2011. The Hawk figure will be made availlable exclusively from the ZICA website. See the Hawk Action Figure Info page for details on the figure. A made-to-order starfighter will be available too.
  • December 11, 2009: According to The Geek Files, "Frank Miller is is no longer on board the planned big-screen return of space pilot Buck Rogers" (see the news item from December 2008 below). Read more about it here.
