Album 3: More Photos of the White House, Port Isaac, Cornwall

John Archer Trevan moved to from the Plymouth area, and where he became a Customs Officer and married Anne Watts and inheritted the White House. It was built in the reign of Queen Elizabeth by the Bosustowes family and it followed the female line into the Watts family and then the Trevan family. In 1912 it moved from the Trevan family to the Hambly family, once again following the female line. It collapsed during the 1970s and was rebuilt to the building standards of the day, resulting in the bedroom floor being built 18 inches higher than formerly.
