Parish Register and Other Church Information
The family lived in the parish of St Teath where all the information has been found in the parish registers.
Nothing more is known of sons Ronall and Richard. Samuel fathered an illegitimate daughter who died and then he moved to the parish of Landrake where his marriage shows him as the son of Reynold Trevehen of St Teath.
Wills
None found.
Land Tax / Rent Information
The Cornwall Protestation Returns of 1641 show that there were 3 Treveighen's living in St Teath. Raynold made his mark and there were two John's, one of whom signed and the other made his mark. This suggests that most probably Raynold was the son of John and also had a brother called John.
These John's were buried as
- John Trevighen Jr on 16 Apr 1646 - his inventory survives at Cornwall Record Office
- John Trevighen Se on 3 Sep 1648
The Michaelmas Hearth Tax for 1664 shows that the only "Treveighen" to be taxed in St Teath was Reignold Trevyham who had 6 hearths but only 3 to be found. At the bottom of the list there are some notes including a list of hearths not mentioned in former returns which includes "Reynold Trugam for Lower Denebrode tenement 3".
