AD 1590?-1660?

For younger generations of ancestors who are descended from this family:
see page on Boogertman

The name Jacobs means "son (or daughter) of Jacob". Jannetje, from Goeree-Overflakkee, was probably the daughter of a man just called "Jacob", without a family name. It is unlikely that she was related to our ancestor Duyfjen Jacobs, possibly from Amsterdam, or to our ancestor Dingen Jacobs from Capelle in Noord-Brabant.
