* 17-7-1778 (Christening in the Kloosterkerk, The Hague) x Arnold Storm (around 1810) + 13-6-1831 (The Hague)
The origins of Catharina Michgels' family are not very clear to say the least. In the various certificates her name is spelt in many ways: Migel at her own christening and death, Michgels at the birth of her daughter Cathrine Storm, Migchels at her daughter's marriage, Miggel at the census of 1830, and Miggels at the christening of her son Hendrik, which makes research difficult. Most importantly, she was an illegitimate child, supposedly of a man called "Antoni Migel", as was stated by her mother Christina Romijn. In the archives the 1781 marriage certificate was found of a certain Anthonis Jacobus Michels, who was called "Anthoni Michels" at the christening of his children. He may have been Catharina's father, but this would of course be hard to prove.
For her descendants see the page on Storm.
