* 1290? (Brussels, Belgium) relationship with Willem van Duivenvoorde (around 1329) + ? (after 1387)
Aleyt had a relationship with Willem van Duivenvoorde, heer of Oosterhout and Breda, who was the illegitimate son of
Philips III van Duivenvoorde and an unknown woman. He was an important banker who loaned great sums to the Emperors, Kings,
Dukes and Counts in Europe. In 1329 Ludwig IV, the German Emperor, declared Willem to be a legitimate son of Philips III
(as a way of paying interest?) Willem himself had at least twelve illegitimate children, one of which was our ancestor
Beatrix van Duivenvoorde, Aleyt Oemencs' daughter.
(Not known if any other children)
