The sources that I have seen so far are inconsistent on who the parents were of Evrard (Everhard) Radulphe (Ralph) I de Tournai (= van Doornik), (also De Mortagne). They were either Wedric (= Dirk/Thierry?) de Tournai, who died in 1080, and Adelheid of Flanders, (supposedly a daughter of Count Boudewijn VI/I, of Flanders/of Hainaut and Richilde of Hainaut); or they could have been Adalard I of Tournai (van Peteghem en Eine) (1030-1067) and an unknown woman, possibly from the Tournai family, and a sister of the Bishop of Noyon-Tournai. I have followed the latter theory. There is also confusion about Evrard's wife (or wives): she was a woman called Helewinde, and / or another woman called Francka, who may have been born in 1065. I know nothing else about these women.
