Sijtses

For younger generations of ancestors who are descended from this family:
see page on Hendriks

This family is from Warga and Grouw in the northern Dutch province of Friesland. The name Sijtses means "son (or daughter) of Sijtse (or Zijtse)". It was not (yet) a family name, Lijsbeth's father was called Zijtse Pijters, who must have been a son of a man called Pijter (or Pieter). The information on this family and on related families was kindly provided by M.D. Kooijman from Eindhoven, Netherlands.
